I'll throw this out and hopefully someone else will join in for the discussion.

I am hesitant to have code in tomcat to tie itself to a specific container when
being embedded. I am guessing others feel the same.

Is there any reason jboss cannot set the system property catalina.base instead
of using this other property (jboss.server.home.dir)?

Examine the other log files (catalina.out, localhost_log_...)

Turn up the debug level to potentially show any other helpful messages.

Please follow up with the tomcat-user list. At this point, this is a
configuration error, not a bug.

tomcat as isapi

2003-06-08 Thread Christopher Scaffidi
Dear Sirs and Madams--

Have you had any luck recently in running Tomcat as an ISAPI plugin (by
extension)? We are having problems with cookies being dropped when running
as a plugin, and any suggestions you might have would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks,

How can I get the user name in NT Workstation?

2003-06-08 Thread Jose Martins
Hi all!

I am new using JSP.

My problem is related do getReMoteUser method. I would like to know how I
can show the NT authentication in a page? I tried to use <%=
request.getRemoteUser() %>, but returned null. I installed TOMCAT 4.1 in my
machine and I am using NT workstation.

By the way, I am not using IIS or other web server, I am just using TOMCAT
in port 8080.

Thanks in advance.

Tomcat 5.0.2 service does not survive logoff

--- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-06-08 11:02 ---
I've added the change to the installer code, so this shouldn't be an issue with
5.0.3.

JK2 is a _filter_, and cannot be used to map the extensions.
Intstall it like a filter and map *.jsp.
