right... my target is only IE 5 and IE 6... so i eard that i can compress it... however... has i said, it's only html Type that cause the problem

without jk i can't have a communication tomcat-apache
as i said deflate make this problem appear

And as Henri asked, do you have these problems without Apache? He means for you to test your system using tomcat-standalone without an Apache front-end.

whitout apache there is no problem... but without apache there is no
module_deflate in action too :)
It sounds like mod_deflate is a questionable choice for you anyways
since you shouldn't compress JavaScript.

the only way to make disapear this feature using mod_deflate is not to compress html files...
and that is not possible...
same problem if i don't compress _javascript_...
