for mod_jk you have to set JkOptions ForwardURICompat into httpd.conf and have mod_rewrite load before mod_jk I have no idea if this option is present in mod_jk2 Note however that this brakes the spec because the servelts/jsps etc get as requested uri the rewritten part and not the original issued
