use of servlet tag in the apache/tomcat

Dear friends I am trying to migrate from java web server to apache/tomacat.problem is this that ,site uses servlet/servlet tag extensively,in its shtml pages. these servlets are not executed properly on the apache/tomcat. any work around kapil

I have been given the task of cofiguring the apache/tomcat for existing site.But the problem is that .shtml pages of the site use servlet /servlettag extensively . and the pages containg servlet tags do not execuyte properly on the apache htdocs folder.
