i just discovered that my DOCTYPE points to an old link: http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/web-app_2_3.dtd if you go there you will see a message with the correct link: http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd however, my app still works, and tomcat didn't complain, nor did it warn me.. why does to
