not sure what you're trying to do.
If you're trying to get to C:\, you have to do it in two steps:
1. set your default device to c:
C:
2. set your directory to the top level \:
cd \
you should now be in the C:\ directory
If you're simply trying to get a command prompt,
then just use
This works as well if your home path is C:\
cd %HOMEPATH%
