I've thought of upgrading to a newer version of both but have a concern that since the software was written for the older 4.1.2. Are there any good sources which could help me through the upgrade?

Upgrade to the latest tomcat of the 4.1.x release. 4.1.2 is fairly old and there are newer versions of the same core. 5.0 is a newer spec, so that might not be what you want, but I would definitly upgrade to 4.0.30. > Does anyone know if there is a problem with running legacy versions of Tomcat and Apache on Server 2003? I dont know of any, but be sure that you disabled iis completely. Stop web publishing service AS WELL AS iisadmin service. Try again.
