Request#getLocalAddr doesn't have anything to do with the remote machine. Why would it? ;) You're seeing the correct value. You probably want getRemoteAddr / getRemoteHost. There's also getServerName, but that's probably not what you want, it's close to getLocalAddr. I say close because on a multi-homed machine it'd be different.
