I have apache running in front of tomcat, This mainly becouse I would loose all my session objects in tomcat when switching from http to https (anyone knows how to prevent this by the way?). But now, I don't have the ability to get the ip address and hostname of the user in my servlets, using request.getRemoteAddr() and so... Is there a way to get those?
