im trying to implement this online game. currently my only solution to this is having the browser auto refresh the database through my javabeans. what are my alternatives? i only want to keep refreshing a bits of information, not the whole jsp page. must i research into java applets?
also, is there anyway a user or "player" can read information off other users? meaning lets say there is someone named bob in arizona and someone named joe in california. Both are requesting from my server making instances of beans. is there anyway they can detect the beans that the other person has made an instance of?
