Is the attribute XYZ for sure defined? The stacked .equals without a
check for a null could easily give you a NullPointer.

I have a directory called /admin/ that has a lot of JSP pages in it.
It is

Yeah, I was referring to the almost identical bug. We must have still
been using that version, and maybe I'm thinking of it as we used it with
Tomcat 3.3.1, not 4.1.x.

Our application is running on a server in Pennsylvania. A user there
was working as well as a user in Tennessee

This should also probably be brought up on the development mailing
list.
And, are you 100% sure that the app doesn't change at all and it works
on 4.1.12 and not 4.1.18?

Thank you very much for the reply. After double checking all my
settings and
for hunting where the problem was, i disabled a filter i had
implemented to
ensure that https was being used when i wanted
to ensure it is in sync with
what mod_jk is looking at (workers.properties typically), and that the
worker name in that same file is in sync with the JkMount statements.
Every time I've gotten all of the ducks in a row like this I've gotten
it to work. (On NetWare and Windows, at least).

With this one line fix everywhere such a thread existed, Tomcat shut
down completely with the stop command.
