What does your login page do when it's submitted?  It sounds like it's
calling ServletContext.getRequestDispatcher("index.jsp") which isn't
quite legal.

>From the Javadocs for getRequestDispatcher:

"The pathname must begin with a "/" and is interpreted as relative to
the current context root."

I guess WebSphere may not be strictly conformant.
