Hi,
Been running tomcat (WIN32) standalone for a while - things work fine.
Now I'm ready
to try using apache/cgi scripts. I've install and started apache 1.3.19
along with the
tomcat package.

Hello !!
I am trying to set Tomcat 4.0 b1 in VAJ 3.5
I did it with Tomcat 3.1, it was rather simple that time. I had imported
src's and there was 5 jar files in the lib directory, I had added them to
class path of the class StartTomcat which was available from the IBM's VADD
site.
Now
what is the error that you are receiving? Or is it a 404 error?

Hi,
we have problems, when we try to start Tomcat-4.0-b1 (Catalina) including
the
oracle-jdbc driver (classes12.jar in TOMCAT_HOME/lib). We get the following
error message:

I don't known why don't work cause I tried to copy examples context
to an another name, but it not worked.
I tried to create a context in tomcat 3.2.1 (it works), and copy
to tomcat 4.0b1 (it doesn't work, is is the owntest context).
Anybody knows why?
Here my owntest (It works in 3.2.1 but
Did you restart Tomcat 4.0 after setting this application up?
yes
What URL did you try?
localhost:8080/owntest/snoop - 404
localhost:8080/owntest/servlet/snoop - 404
localhost:8080/owntest/servlet/SnoopServlet - It works
It behaves like didn't read owntest/Web-inf/web.xml.

OK, the next step is to check the log files -- what do they say?
By the way, Tomcat *is* case sensitive on the name of the WEB-INF
directory, so unless you really have it in "owntest/WEB-INF/web.xml",
your web.xml file will not have been read.
OK.
It was Web-inf not WEB-INF.
Now it works.
