Shocking and sad news indeed.
Fond memories: First ever KV4/DL Q on 160 (Jan '69), Qs from 6W8 and CE0
apart from many with W0VXO.
My condolences to his family and friends
RIP Herb!

Huge Kudos to Bob and Ken for their perseverance under abysmal receiving
conditions. They really tried their best to handle the gigantic piles.
A wonderful Christmas and maximal health in 2019!

Learning about Jack's passing hurts immensely.
Since our first 160 Q on Jan-25-64 we worked so many times, even at
improbable hours of the day.
Jack will be missed very much.
RIP Jack!
My condolences to his family and friends.

Gentlemen,
there's another very valuable comment in the link
.
My "hands-on" friends and I know many of them by their "results" and
actions.
For us, they are a matter of ridicule.

Hi Peter, Hans and all dinosaurs,
recently, after 55 years on 160, I worked my entity #300. I had planned
to apply for a new sticker on my 160 DXCC #70 but looking at ARRL's
"non-activities"
I'm much in doubt.
Nevertheless, CW remains the ultimate challenge and satisfaction and

Hi Jeff,
many thanks for providing this important info! Jack has been a repeated
QSO-partner since 1963.
Being 82 myself I certainly have an insight in his problems. Wish he and
Opal are on the improving path.

Very sad news about Keith's passing!
My first QSO with him was in Oct 1963, many more followed. Exciting was
my first ever with Keith in Nov 67 , Senegal-UK on 160m (6W8CW-G3RPB).
My condolences to his family and friends.
RIP, dear Keith!

Does anyone know the reason(s) for ARRL's withholding the approval for
the excellent ET7L operation?
Another unpleasant item is the growing use of remote RXs. It's not
difficult to identify the fakers but does ARRL care?
Seasons' Greetings & 73!
