Ciao Rik,
I don't think fan dipole would contribute to 160 receiving, on the other
hand, 160m legs will decrease useable bandwidth of 80 & 40m dipoles. Have

Try with so called "hairpin match", actually several turns of wire bettween
feedpoint and the ground (radials). Jou can then adjust the SWR squeezing
or stretching the coil...

Simon, how about shunt feed 25m tower (by photo it seems there is enough
space for radial field under it. And, how about two or three sloping
dipoles for 80 from 50m tower? Either two in 310° and 45° directions, or
three at 120° intervals, for 180°(south), 270° and 40°?

If you will use your circle array strictly for 160m band, then go for 300
foot spacing (which is optimal for top band). No personal experience here,
just some common sense.

I'm just joking. I'm afraid even if 80m signals would reach the Earth,
D-layer would absorb it.

Thanks, gentlemen (Eddy, K8GG, ZR, Roy, Herb, et. al.), for all the
feedback on this. So, it seems it's pretty much what I expected --
if you tune an antenna for better results on one frequency, you
detract from its operation on another. Maybe one
