The big groundplane is nice, but doesn't replace
the "vertical on the beach" at all. The

Beacons down the bottom of the band. These work like the old HiFix Beacons
(so are quite wide), and are located in the Baltic and used by Fishing
Trawlers for navigation. They pretty much wipe out 1800 to 1815 kHz over

only had my exciter so ran low power, if I remember correct I was

It should be fantastic! on 160 the antenna will be almost a perfect 5/8
wave antenna.
Between that and the incredible AM broadcast band radial system, it
should be incredible.
