The annual Spring time QRN has arrived. This does not mean the band is
dead as it is always open somewhere. Here in Arizona the path to EU is
almost gone with the last EU contact being John, SM5EDX. Some southern
EU is possible but noise levels are making it more difficult.

Yes, as Dave K1WHS noted, very few NA stations on the band last Wednesday
(think I only heard/worked 4), but there were loads of EU stations calling
CQ DX. (I find that very sad, considering how many NA stations there are
that put out a decent signal on 160m!)

I assume that you are saying Wednesday 0300 etc. Zulu time which is our late
Tuesday - early morning Wednesday.

answered with 5 watts, but you did not hear me. I did work I think two
stations while running 5 watts here. One was HA0NAR. This morning was a
big ZERO. I was up at 1000 UT and called CQ but had no QSOs and heard

Well as several people have posted, conditions on Top Band are pretty good
most nights at present . . . but not a lot of activity !

Last night I worked 46 EU from 0300z till about 0600.
In spite of the elevated solar wind, the band was in great shape into VE6.

Well propagation TO North America from here seemed reasonable last night . .
.
But return signals were mostly poor (and lots of QSB)
Also didn't hear many stations on . . . but maybe I just couldn't hear them
! (there were several stations that called me that were down in the noise.)
Conditions good into Arizona last night from EU,

then I was hit by a lightning strike with
no rain at the time. It did a bunch of
