It’s toxic to cats. Keep that in mind if you have cats and let them out.

In addition to tall weeds and bushes, that will also handle trees up to 6"
diameter.
Afterward, all that's left on the earth is a flat, clear path of soil and
mulch.

And I have many hard chert rocks. It even took care of those! :-) I just
carried them over to a rock pile.

Hah!

I am always amazed when something relevant
to the community causes offence and people
leave. I'm a doctor (retired) and have
seen the effects of Lyme disease. For hams
to go into the woods where getting this is
a real danger and someone asks a question
& others get offended by genuinely helpful
replies and have a hissy fit, that's their
personal problem.

Hit the delete key, ignore the topic, it's
not going to be around for long & above
all, quit whining.

Re: Topband: Antenna work Hazard

Bruce,

I had some very dense growth removed by hiring someone with a skid steer
equipped with a grinding and mulching attachment. In comparison, it makes a
brush/bush hog look like a walk-behind mower! That thick growth was gone in
no time, and so I was finally able to easily get at one one of my 580'
Beverages.

IMHO, your question was a very good one and absolutely on topic for those
of us that are plagued with ticks while working on 160m antennas on our
acreage.

Please let us know what worked for you.

Note that Permethrin is deadly fatal to cats. I didn't know that until I read
the label on the bottle, after which I threw it away (we're very fond of our
cat.)

What are the symptoms of that?

Ive been spraying Permethrin for about 15 years all along the paths I use plus
around the berry area where Im often on my knees.

Lyme is common here in Pelham, a few friends got it and one from his goats.
Our cat died almost 2 years ago come September but the vet claimed it was
likely cancer.
He was a very lively 18 and a real outdoor cat but seldom traveled anywhere
near my spraying area but he was murder on mice and Chipmunks.close to the
house.
