Thanks for all the replies about the G5RV RF into the shack problem. We
ordered a W2DU-HF choke balun from AES that is supposed to solve the problem
1.8-30 Mhz with a GOOD ground for the transceiver and power supply. Will
post here how it works out. Floyd says thank you he is 89 and NOT on

NY 15 miles east of Syracuse, NY into a 43 foot non resonant vertical
antenna. It will be on until 11:00 PM tonight, 03:00 Monday.

On 160/80 meters how much RF power can RG8X coax safely handle and is 8 or
10 turns on a 6 diameter piece of PVC pipe sufficient for a feed line
choke. Run is about sixty feet long.
