I think the performance was favorable on 160m... we only did limited
testing, but I did work VK4YB using several different T/R periods
(30,60,120). One thing I seem to recall is that the doppler spreading
was greater on 160m vs. the lower
rea, every dB counts to ensure the weakest signals are not lost and
unrecoverable I regularly hear VK4YB on that band (including some
good runs this summer), sometimes the only station in NA despite being
in the "east".

The one I use is aimed west and hears VK4YB (and recently VK2AN) on
2200m most mornings starting a couple of hours prior to sunrise (and at
