I worked T32C at 1am EDT last night/this morning (0500z). A simple inverted L with 16 radials 62.5 long. They could hear me a lot better than I could them (me at 1kw) but I answered their CQ. They didn't have many takers. I have yet to hear 3D2R on 160 when spotted. Worked them easily on 80m.

Dead on Zero Beat is OK if there is only one station ZB. Same is true is there is only one station up or down X number of hertz. The problem with newer transceivers and the skimmers is that several answer ZB and that last filter, the old ear, can't separate them when the signals are similar in

I like the Stew, however, it typically falls at a time when I've traveled away from home for the holidays and don't have access to a station or am actually traveling during the Stew weekend. Bummer. This year, the timing was different enough to operate the event and condx turned out to be

Mike, what version of SSDR is he running? I believe the current 1.5 release has a reported issue on transmit with some (all?) 6300's. I understand a point release is being readied to address that. I suppose he could go back to 1.4.6 in the meantime. I rarely ever plug a mic into mine.

Interesting. Here at my place - wires in the trees, I'm able to transmit on the K3 (100w, old SYN) within about 20 kHz of the frequency where the Flex 6300 (zero band filtering radio) is listening without any detriment to the Flex's ability to hear signals on the frequency it's listening to. I

That's exactly how I set mine up. Lower the AGC-T to where the band noise and weak/moderately weak signals aren't hitting the threshold. So maybe S4-5+ signals do hit the threshold. I'm able to still hear the "at noise floor" signals without pain in the ears from strong signals. They're loud,
