This is directed to Guy but some of the rest of you may find it
interesting. I am unable to put the finishing touches on the new inverted
L because my SARK 110 analyzer has gone belly up. Right now the sweet spot
with close to 50 ohms is up at the top end of the band. There is some

I finally got the inverted L up this afternoon. Vertical dimension is 65'
and the almost horizontal dimension is 95'. I am using a very carefully
built FCP and the commercial transformer. My SARK 110 shows resonance at
about 1.68 MHz but the resistive part is up around 1000 ohms. Taken right
Are there any Top Band folks using the LZ1AQ low noise antenna? I heard
(and worked) VK3IO at 23:10 this morning with 559 signals into northern
lower Michigan. Totally amazed!

Greetings to all from a first time poster...
I am going to use an FCP with an inverted L for 160. I have 2 questions:
1) can I run the FCP parallel to the horizontal wire or should it be
perpendicular?
2) can I use #10 bare wire for the FCP?
