Thanks for coming back to me, Tom. The only reason I knew the band was open is that I was sitting on 1821.0 listening for S01WS who had been spotted there. Apparently he was gone because, Eric NO3M, asked if the frequency was in use and then started calling CQ. I was surprised to hear HB9CAT

Outstanding sunrise conditions at 0800 today on top band. FM5BH on 1818 KHz S9+. ZL3IX on 1826.5 long path peaking S8/9 on my meter. RBN skimmers showing excellent path to USA but very little other activity. Come on guys, turn that computer off and plug the key in! 73, Tom G3OLB

Yes, last night (~0500Z) conditions were about as good as I've heard them here this season. As many have commented, conditions on 80 and 160M have been unusually poor this season. But 80M seemed to have awakened a week or so ago and 160M now seems to be following suit. 73, Joe K2XX On

For the record books, and to further the study of 160m propagation, it is interesting to note that last night was NOT exceptional here at ve6wz. In fact, I was at the radio most of the night and only worked S51V during a 5 min. peak, and then the band was gone to EU. Most of the night was spent

Worst conditions in a long time last night. Worked a couple of VE2,3, 6 an 7s, KL7, KH6, all the 6's 7', and most all 8, 9, and 0s. GA, KY, TN, VA, AR, LA lone CE and XE. Didn't bother staying up or getting up for the JA openings. 45 mult's so far but only 100 Qs, usually 2-300 Qs and 55-60
