Well I came on around 00.30Z . . . could only just copy a couple of NA stations through the EU QRM, as they were pretty weak. But when I came back on around 05.30Z, signals had picked up. Found 8 NA stations calling CQ, so having worked them I thought I'd try calling CQ NA. Apart from a few EU

Well 160m DX conditions were pretty good all week, so I was looking forward to working lots of NA stations in the contest. However, we had a HUGE storm here in the north of England - 100mph winds (worse I have ever known). So I came on at Z, and checked the VSWR on my 160m antenna . . .

Trevor I popped on a few times on 160 over the contest weekend . . . but agree, conditions were rather poor . . . I worked pretty much the same NA stations as you. I actually heard quite a few more US stations, but it was when they were calling other Europeans (who often didn't hear them) . . .
