Pure power shouldnt cause any problems. Mine starts charging when

OK, thanks..I can go to there website and it works fine. I can see

Actually I want it the other way around.
Is there a way to turn just the backlit off and leave the clock portion
on? My wife quite likes the clock function, but the backlit 24/7
worries me.
