As a follow up to my earlier post...
My HiFimeDIY Sabre USB U2 async DAC arrived yesterday, along with a
HiFimeDIY USB isolator.
Doesn't work as is, but works seamlessly with a passive USB hub, and
first impressions are excellent, a distinct improvement over the on
board DAC :)

have never had a problem saving new playlists in the past, but now when
I pressed the Save button on the lower right corner of the screen,

Thanks much for responding. I tried your first suggestion but still
can't save the playlist. I then tried your second suggestion using
Internet Explorer 11,

There is a setting, although it's not particular to the Touch. In the
web interface, go to Settings Advanced Performance Maximum
