Let me answer to your questions.
I misunterstood when you said to set player.source debug level (I
thought it was on the player). I'm not used with Squeezebox server
settings, since I used the one embedded in the Touch before getting my
Nas.
I have one radio and one Touch, you are right I post
Not all MPEG4 AAC files have the same structure and Touch cannot play
all streamed MPEG4 types natively.
Just tested on Touch - you must disable MPEG4 Native to stream this
podcast on Touch.

No the log is on LMS server - you can find location from LMS WebUI
Setting/Information
edit:
What
OK forget. My previous post.
I suppose that the log file is on the player (squeezebox radio), but
the server makes the connection to the podcast.
(I will have to check that)

You just enabled native MPEG4 processing - so LMS will tell player to
play natively - although player may not succeed.
If you
Why will you not do what I ask - the player log is useless without
knowing what LMS is doing - the player only plays what LMS has
processed
Get the full unedited server.log will player.source set to DEBUG

Please show the server log with player.source set to DEBUG.
This will show what LMS is doing - the player is the victim of
OK I miss something.
The player (squeezebox radio near to me is getting the stream from the
Web.
Shoud It not be from the Squeezebox Server ?
Code:
Dec 16 12:31:02 squeezeplay: DEBUG audio.decode - Playback.lua:854 strm s
Dec 16 12:31:02 squeezeplay: DEBUG
Followinf Command line executed on my NAS (Squeezebox server) is OK :
sudo ffmpeg -i
http://media.radiofrance-podcast.net/podcast09/12283-08.12.2017-ITEMA_21518069-0.m4a
-f mp4 /volume1/\@download/test.mp4
Curl_'s
What are the entries for MPEG-4 in WebUI Setting/Advanced/Filetypes ?
enable the logging of player.source set to DEBUG to see what is
happening when playing the podcast - it is possible your LMS is not
accessing podcasts as it does on my system.
I edit the convert.conf (and not custom-convert.conf). same behaviour..
