No - I had originally selected that, and then unselected it. But, as
someone above said, the issue turns out to be the SYNC between
SqueezeServer and MYSB - on re-boot, the system seems to take the
higher of the two settings. Reducing *both* to 70% (or whatever%)
seems to work.

The other thing to check is if the FIXED VOLUME feature is selected. If
it is, I imagine the volume would revert to 100% every time you start
up again.

Good idea - and I can also try (which I had forgotten) logging into
MySB, adjusting the volume on the player to 70%, logging out.. That
may do the trick too.

It's most likely a problem with syncing with mysqueezebox.com, which has
never worked anything close to reliably. Try disabling it and then see
if the volume starts behaving.
Go to Settings > mysqueezebox.com > mysqueezebox.com Integration and
set it to 'disabled'.
