I'm having similar problems with this package on 2 different servers.
When updating, dpkg hangs on the post install script of the openssh-
server package. The process becomes defunct and stops responding.
I edited the /var/lib/dpkg/info/openssh-server.postinst file and adjusted set
-e to set -x

Just to say this bug has happened me many times. I don't know exactly
why it happens or how to reproduce. I think its usually inclined to

fstab entry causes emergency mode
I can confirm that when using the package uitk on ubuntu rc-proposed
using the steps provided by Nekhelesh that I can reproduce the bug.
Therefore I have set this bug to confirmed.
This bug is also now blocking the music-app from migrating to the new
listitems.
