I just uploaded a movie trailer (49Mb in size) to my Nexus 7 (2013, 4G
version) and Nexus 4 it worked ok. After that I copied a full length
movie (1.5Gb in size) and it did not show up in the Video lens at all.

It seems that media are being scanned from all folders in the external storage
or SDCard.
For example, album arts are shown in the Photo scope and Gallery even though
they are in the Music folder.
