This looks like a bug in the unity8 launcher rather than Dekko itself.
I'll add unity8 to this report, not sure what extra they will need.

The "Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0"" message suggests
it's indeed a problem with the GPU. I found that it could be caused by

lxd containers. So I can't say whether it is a regression. I did revert
to an older trusty kernel and have the same behavior.

I've seen this at least a couple times on my arale. It's clear the
media-hub is deadlocked, i connected to it with strace and there was
nothing happening at all.
Of course when it's deadlocked, the ringer does work, or anything that

Guys, it has been 5(!!!) years, since this bug has been reported. Any
chance for a fix?
Please raise severity to major, to reflect that this is a MAJOR issue
with a CORE component in ubuntu, that affects a lot of services that
would use pre-stop
Workaround-ish: service xxx restart works, because
It seems moving Q_ASSERT(parent) to if (!parent) qFatal("QuickUtils
can't be instantiated without a parent"); would do the trick, it shows
in logs and aborts the test run.

/01autoremove-kernels"? `apt-get autoremove` does. BTW. I think
/etc/kernel/postinst.d/apt-auto-removal should be run during boot to
ensure that "/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/
