the fake_ubrick_scope) one can see that calls to Image item setSource
end up intercepted by UCQQuickImageExtension::setSource that goes ends
up in UCUnits::resolveResource
That takes 23% of the total CPU
i doubt this is unity8, so please pick a more appropriate project

Linking to Qt QML classes/methods/components when writing documentation for
UITK components does not work.
If you want to link to, say, the Text component while writing the documentation
for a UITK component, you should be allowed

For the factory reset, I didn't do it via reboot "Power + Volume Up",
but in the menu you have an icon for Parameters,

As a workaround in future you should be able to open the Unity7 desktop file
manager in a Unity8 window by:
nautilus -w -- --desktop_file_hint=unity8
However nautilus is crashing right now. Looks like a simple bug 1603923
