While investigating bug #1662031, I found out that /usr/share/language-
tools/save-to-pam-env writes to ~/.pam_environment using an incorrect
syntax: "VARIABLE=value" on each line. The expected syntax is "VARIABLE
[DEFAULT=[value]] [OVERRIDE=[value]]" (man pam_env.conf).
Sounds like it might have been a kernel issue and fix because nothing
really changed in pulseaudio.

Yes, swapping is the responsibility of the kernel. So if your system
occasionally thrashing then that could cause this bug per comment #3. It
would also explain why the system is able to recover after some
minutes...
Please continue testing but it sounds like the memory hog is the real
bug
The actual issue appears to be in fonts-dejavu-extra, but it won't let
me select that.

In Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS, new install (well, as of a few months ago),
italic/oblique variants just weren't installed by default. In some
programs this resulted in text not showing, in others it resulted in
those square boxes that indicate no font installed

There is no sound after installing Ubuntu Gnome 17.04. The volume
control shows the sound turned all the way up. The internal test found

It happens after try install FileZilla, I was not able to resolve also a
