This is a result of us moving PPA sources to deb822 for this cycle. As a
workaround, please use this syntax instead:
$ apt-add-repository ppa:nrbrtx/vte
This is really much nicer than specifying the whole deb line anyways. I
think we should just remove support for the "add by line" syntax since

I can't think of a good solution here, but if you would like the same
"safe graphics" mode that also happens to disable the GPU, then you can
edit /etc/default/grub and change:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
to
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash nomodeset"
and then run:
Hi, I've found the problem. I had a env var PERL5LIB with modules
installed with perl 5.30. Therefore the upgrade/install scripts where
getting these libs and not the system wide ones.
For future "correctness" maybe the script should unset PERL5LIB to
"force" the use of the system libs ?
