the outset to post the result of your g++ command with -v added. That
would have shown your compiler is defaulting to PIEs while mine is not.
Adding -pie to the gold command line shows a huge number of relative
dynamic

gold-2.39 and gold mainline. I'm using my crt*.o, libc_nonshared.a,
libgcc.a. From ld -t output it seems nothing from libc_nonshared.a or
libgcc.a is extracted, so the only real difference ought to be crt1.o,

When I build clang-16 from your object files (plus my system libraries
and startup files) for powerpc64le using gold 2.40.50.20230614 I get
exactly the same binary as when using gold 2.39.0.20230101. That's
comparing gold from the tip of master and binutils-2_39-branch in

Hi, why this bug is invalid ? I just ran into it after upgrading from Ubuntu
18.04 to 20.04. After finding and applying with success the fix of @shiina, I
downloaded the package
I am getting it on 3 machines. One is a clean install of 20.04 from the
media dated 20200301. Another is an upgrade done some weeks back which
was previously 18.04 installed from media dated 20190210.

On reflection, there are several factors contributing to the problem.
Addressing any one of them would resolve the problem reported.
1. none of the Mir -dev packages are co-installable
2. libsdl2-dev should not depend on libmirclient-dev
3. SDL2 is being built with mirclient support on 18.10

I thought sdl2 dropped the Mir dependency back in 18.04? It hasn't
worked since the "Mir EGL" patch was dropped from mesa.
Anyway, I have tested some SDL2 apps with Mir 1.0.0:
On 16.04 where the SDL_VIDEODRIVER=mir option is still supported they work with
it.
On 18.04 and 18.10 they work with
I just noticed this. my bluetooth keyboard appears to be reporting the battery
status while the bluetooth mouse doesn't.
This wasnt the case earlier and both were reporting 0%.

On my Unity session on 17.10 printscreen doesn't work, neither does
ALT+Printscreen (it triggers HUD), nor CTRL+ALT+T to open terminal.
