Michael suggested looking for .lock files...
turns out I had .config/com.ubuntu.telegram//auth.lock

I guess what happens here is
waitForRendering(obj) is not enough to wait for the warning to be output.
I guessed that would have been enough, since the labels' text is set in
initialization phase, and not as a late assignment.
The Image is loaded async by default (afaik), so maybe what happens i
just to clarify the comment above:
the bug description was previously reporting the expected output under the
"Actual" output and viceversa.
As a consequence, QA could not verify the fix, because they the output
they got didn't match the "Expected" one.

After adding a debug line for "event->timestamp()" as well, it turns out
on my machine (this is most likely not only happening on my machine
though) the timestamps for mouse events are always 0 (probably just not
supported by the middleware or something similar). See this log for b
So, what the log I previously posted shows, is that it occasionally happens
that all events are delivered with 0 time difference between them.
As a consequence, the vertical and horizontal velocity of the Flickable never
change from 0, and that causes the flick not to start, when the mouse/tap is
I investigated the issue by recompiling the QtQuick module and adding
some debug info in qquickflickable.cpp
