apparmor is not provided in the Ubuntu Cloud Archive so we can remove
that target from this bug as it is a little misleading. The fix has been
released to Focal and Jammy hence why deploying Openstack Yoga on either
of those (using focal-yoga uca or jammy-updates) gets you the fixed
apparmor. Hope

Inspection of the core dump and some testing proves the Segmentation
fault error is caused by denied permission to read /proc/self/cmdline.
Moving the executable anywhere else the problem would simply disappear.
Further inspection pointed the cause to be apparmor denied the open file
call, thus,
Workaround provided does not seem to work for me. It seems the dhclient
binary only fails with Seg fault when it is at /sbin/dhclient, when it
is moved to /usr/sbin/dhclient it works fine from command line. But this
made nm-dhclient-helper to fail.

Well, it was not a firmware update that fixed it. I'm on Qubes 4.2
right now and it still has the problem, Qubes is using Xfce 4.12 as
it's desktop manager, which I believe is Ubuntu based. Some update to
Ubuntu must have fixed the problem and it hasn't been rolled into the
Xfce version Qubes
As requested I downloaded the latest build and ran it from USB. After
selecting hybrid graphics in BIOS I booted up and was delighted to see
no mouse trails on the 2nd monitor!
I then rebooted back into 16.04 leaving hybrid graphics selected - no
mouse trails!

I have continued to get this crash, periodically. I think the
circumstance that triggers it is, generally at least:
1. opening the app menus in the panel via keyboard shortcuts, then
2. hitting left-arrow to wrap around and access the indicator menus
