Public bug reported:

My sound was working just fine, then tonight I came to use my notebook,
and noticed that there was no sound from any applications.

Using the ubuntu settings sound test, I was getting audio from both
speaker and headphones, but moving the volume bar doesn't do any
feedback, chrome and spotivyhave no audio.

Reinstalled the pulseaudio, now moving the volume bar plays the feedback
"beep", but still no audio from applications, and no more audio on
speaker test!
