More specifically, I was able to successfully pair the phone. It took a couple of iterations (entering password on phone, etc.). The problem seemed to be lockdownd when trying to mount: $ ifuse /media/iPhone/ Failed to connect to lockdownd service on the device. Try again. If it still fails

#29 worked for me using 1.2.0+git20161018-3salbabix27xenial as long as I did the following: fusermount -u /media/iPhone and then ifuse /media/iPhone/ After that, I was able to access the entire filesystem on my iPhone 5c/iOS 10.2 and finally import my photos. It's a bit clunky but it works.
