I used the hirsute LiveCD again and it has mesa 21.0.1.
I refreshed apt but there wasn't any update of mesa. So I enabled
hirsute-proposed and upgraded mesa to 21.0.3.
Then I logged out and straight away there were glitches on the login
screen. I've logged in and confirmed that Gnome Shell and
But I didn't had problems with hirsute LiveCD.
And my install is focal.
I've tried the ppa with release changed to hirsute but focal can't be
upgraded due to conflicts.

I've forced the lowgfx setting with command from comment #9 and the fade
in fade out animations are gone.
But I can't change the launcher icons size. The slider in control center
isn't working. Also The workspace switcher can't be enabled and it

Yes screen gets locked when menus are open since a couple of Unity
releases.
But right click context menus are a different story. For example when I
have right click menu opened in Nautilus the screen goes blank but when
I move the cursor I see the whole screen and then only after clicking
Saving images now works on the desktop in 15.10 but it does weird
things.
When I save image it is immediately opened in my default webbrowser. If
it really must be opened after saving (totally unwanted action) then I
would at least expect that it would display in default image viewer.
Also where
I removed Saucy because it's unsupported already for one year. Utopic
will reach end of life in July 2015 so it is also no longer of concern.

Also I don't think this is an upstream Qt bug because the only affected
Qt apps are the ones developed for Ubuntu. I checked the core apps and
all of them have corrupt fonts.

The fix is in Wily for three weeks now but there is nothing in terms of
SRU.

found that Ubuntu Web Browser displays fonts wrong.
This was the only program that had such problem.

I've checked it two times and both times I couldn't interact with
programs.
All the windows of programs except the Terminal dissapeard. The Terminal
console of regural user displayed info about shutting down and no
interaction was possible. The same happened when I had root console open
it showed

and they work.
However it looks like the scaling factor stopped working. It works for
me only after Unity restart.

This got for me to the point that I always don't get any results in Dash
Home after opening it. Fortunately there is a workaround in my case. If
I open the applications lens directly with shortcut (Super + A) or with
quicklist it gets results and then the Dash Home starts working.
