After the reinstall xscreensaver is still locking by default. I can disable
this feature in Settings and it is now fine (Because it does not lock).
However, I wanted this locking feature, it is still a bug in that enabling this
locking feature still locks the screen for the guest account,

MintXFCE.
I will purge and reinstall and see if it is a config problem somewhere.

Steps to reproduce bug:
1) Install xubuntu or mint xfce
2) download and set lightdm as desktop manager
3) sign in to a guest session and either close your laptop lid or allow
timeout to start screen lock
Why this is a bug:
xscreensaver will not accept a blank/null
Same for me. Mint updates are fine, it is the ubuntu packages which are
givingng me problems. Packages.linuxmint.com is set for my mint
packages (rafaela), and is not giving me problems, but
archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu is set for my ubuntu packages (trusty) Here

Never mind, clicking on those links produces a 404 error, it seems these
packages have been pulled from the PPA, and my system is still looking
for it. Any reason why these packages would be pulled from any server
during an LTS cycle?

It was suggested to me that I could use the following workaround to start up
programs affected by this bug by using the following command:

I tested this on an affect program Haguichi and it worked.

Running latest stable today, I can still confirm this bug, if this is a

for that package notified, since that could be a critical issue. I dont
know myself, I need someone far more experienced to take a look at this
bug.
