As I stated in the Chinese Ubuntu forum, I almost always stick to only the LTS versions of Ubuntu. I made an exception wrt 18.04 LTS and moved up to 19.04 and even 19.10 because ibus-libpinyin 1.11 is not available in 18.04. However, 19.04 and 19.10 have their own problems and are not recommended
