I had the same issue on Debian Jessie until I upgraded from version 4.3-11 to 4.3-11+b1 on amd64. This solved the issue! Changelog: bash (4.3-11+b1) sid; urgency=low, binary-only=yes * Binary-only non-maintainer upload for amd64; no source changes. * Rebuild against glibc 2.19-13 -- amd64

I can confirm this for DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS" and network-manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7. Reverting bridge_ignore_without_connections.patch (and recompiling) seems to solve this issue. Kindly re-evaluate bridge_ignore_w
