Public bug reported: I installed Ubuntu Desktop 17.10 daily build (selected Japanese Language), but ibus-mozc (Japanese Input Method) is not installed when installing Ubuntu 17.10 daily build. Fcitx and fcitx-mozc are installed when installing Ubuntu 17.10 daily build. But the default is ibus.
