This bug is also present in Ubuntu 15.10, I hope will be resolved in the
very annoying, icon chrome is unwatchable, but unfortunately I see that
has not yet been assigned.

I have the same problem. I've tried a few other themes/icons (nitrux
works), but I'd still like the problem to be solved. Any news on this
issue?

This is the first thing I noticed on a fresh install of 15.04.
Launcher icons are far too big by default yet they look awful at any other size.
This was marked as confirmed nearly 3 months ago and still not fixed or even
assigned?

Now 07/07/2015, this error wasn't fixed. Hoping fix it soon. I see this
error from Ubuntu beta 2.

The attachment "launchpad-1446081.patch" seems to be a patch. If it
isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the
"patch" tag, and if you are a member of the ~ubuntu-reviewers,

I'm using the "accessories-calclulator" icon which comes from humanity-
icon-theme and it's rendering the 48x48 SVG as a bitmap and then scaling
it down to 32x32 which looks really ugly. Previously the image looked
sharp and well defined, so it must have been rendering SVG images at
32x32.
