I've also seen this issue. It seems that, when connecting to a wifi network,
the entire system freezes (kernel panic?).
Here's some info:

Hi Tyler,
in high percentage of the cases - about 70% -, when I change a wifi network, it
manages to disconnect from the previous network, but after that it freezes
completely, not only temporarily. The CapsLock LED blinks, and nor the mouse
can be moved nor any windows to activate by a click.
I'm assigning this bug to network-manager for now while we wait on more
information from the reporter.
