FWIW I have an identical setup to Wayne Scott, but My Thinkpad is an X230 with swivel touchscreen. I upgraded to 15.10 almost immediately after it was released, and have been suffering from this issue ever since (15.04 worked way better than 14.04, so I had high hopes). It mainly crops up for me

For what it is worth, I have 15.10 installed on a Thinkpad X1 with an Ivy Bridge processor (i5-3427U) and Intel HD 4000 graphics and I am seeing very similar behavior. Full screen video from Chrome or games on Steam cause the freeze. The freeze is usually when switching away from the video/game
