Yes, the QML music app (https://launchpad.net/music-app/) is only
distributed as a click. The log file for it would be named something
along the lines of:
application-click-com.ubuntu.music_music_2.4.1003.log

What package is giving me the music app? Is it a click? Because I have
it in the dash but there's no such thing like a 'music-app' package
installed on my system.. I'm not understanding what's going on..

Sorry, there actually was, but was not visible from Firefox in Libertine
:/ Anyway there is no log there from the music-app (double checked)

Listening audio does not work on the desktop
Status in
I tried installing qtubuntu-media and it made the dash go in a loop of
crash and restart. I could not try the music-app because with qtubuntu-
media was installed it crashed on startup. I purged the package, now the
dash works correctly and I can even play music from the Music scope.
Opening the
I also get no sound from the browser-app or the Music app, but no
problem playing from the Music scope.

Do you have qtubuntu-media installed maybe? I just tried music app,
youtube and unity8 notifications and they all played sound fine.
Can you please supply the music app log from .cache/upstart/ when you're
trying to play? Any chance your speakers are muted?
