On s390x it only uses sysinfo for systemd-detect-virt, src/basic/virt.c:306:r = get_proc_field("/proc/sysinfo", "VM00 Control Program", WHITESPACE, ); but there also the Host UUID is exposed: $ cat /proc/sysinfo VM00 UUID:0804001f-c45f-4345-994f-9fec048e822e There
