Due to this i failed to automatically install libcups2-dev since i previously upgraded from jaunty with libcups2 yet installed. I had to manually download the higher libcups2-dev from packages.ubuntu.com. I think that this mismatch is also the cause of the failed compilation of the openoffice-3.1 internationalization packages in karmic repos.
